The Tinley Park High School Honors Jazz Ensemble recently took first place at the 35th annual North Shore Jazz Festival at Glenbrook South High School.
The Jazz Fest has a long history of showcasing some of Illinois’ finest junior and senior high school jazz ensembles.
More than 80 groups performed throughout the day.
The ensemble competed against 14 schools in the A Division.
Members of the TPHS Honors Jazz Ensemble include Dave Beam, Vicki Beck, Chris Bennett, Zach Crum, Carly Crusius, Josh Diaz, Taylor Fisher, Dan Gale, Dana Giancarlo, Tanner Jackson, Brad Jones, Frank Kampwirth, Doug Meng, Jake Mezera, Kevin Muldowney, Irvin Pierce, Marissa Politano, Angela Pulice, Marc Quatrini, Adam Sumner, Jetta Tomlianovich and Sami Ulanski.
