Cassie Boat, of Andrew Bowling, finished 61st in the state last season. This season, the junior helped the Thunderbolts to the SouthWest Suburban Red title, as well as titles at the Plainfield Central and Oak Forest invitationals.

What’s been the highlight of your season so far?

Winning the individual and team titles (Jan. 7 at the Oak Forest Lady Bengal Invitational). I was just on a roll and my teammates helped me out a lot, too. The whole season has gone very well, though. It’s definitely been my best season so far.

What are your goals the rest of the way?

To make it back to state as a team. I just want to do my best to help that happen.

How long have you been bowling?

Ever since I could pick up a ball.

What do you like most about bowling?

I love the excitement and I love the people. I’ve met a lot of good friends through bowling.

How many bowling balls do you own? What’s your favorite?

I own four. My favorite right now is my (Ebonite) Mission X.

What was your best holiday gift?

I got a new phone. It’s a Droid Bionic. I really like it.

What’s on your iPod?

A little bit of everything. I really like country music, though. My favorite is probably Jason Aldean.

If you could take any celebrity to prom, who would you take?

Patrick Kane, definitely! I really love him. I love the Blackhawks. I’m a big hockey fan.

You’re stranded on a deserted island and can have an endless supply of one food. What do you pick?

Macaroni and cheese. It’s delicious.

You have to go on one reality show. Which do you choose?

“Jersey Shore.” It seems like it’d be fun.

As told to Steve Millar
