Here is a look at what Southlanders are accomplishing in college.

News from the SouthtownStar’s Central region includes Orland Park, Manhattan, Lemont, New Lenox, Orland Park, Midlothian, Crestwood, Mokena, Oak Forest, Frankfort, Homer Glen, Tinley Park and Orland Hills.

Arizona State University

Taylor Shane Wilmsen, of Orland Park, has been named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Arizona State University in Tempe.

Lewis University

Chad Bouck, of Manhattan; Christopher Ihde and Danuta Lesnicki, of Lemont; Sherrill Lange, of New Lenox; and Jill Long, of Orland Park; have been inducted into the new Lambda Epsilon Delta chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society at Lewis University in Romeoville.

◆ Caleigh Clemens, of Midlothian, recently participated in a learning trip to Rome, Assisi and Florence as part of the Study Abroad program at Lewis.

◆ Several area student gave presentations at the inaugural Celebration of Scholarship at Lewis.
