Coat donations to help veterans

The Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce will hold its holiday party from 6 to 11 p.m. Dec. 20 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Bremen Post 2791, 17147 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park.
During the party, the chamber will collect gently used coats that will benefit local veterans in need. The cost of the chamber party is $30. For information, call (708) 532-5700 or email info@tinleychamber.org.
Orland insurance agency collects toys
Through Saturday, Kurland Insurance Agency, 15040 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park, will collect new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots toy drive. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, parents can have their child’s picture taken with Santa for free in exchange for a new toy.

Toy drive at Charter Fitness locations
Through Dec. 21, Charter Fitness locations will collect new, unwrapped toys to benefit organizations such as Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army and Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital. Last year, more than 5,000 toys were collected, and since its inception six years ago, the effort has brought in more than 20,000 toys.
