So what will it be in college: hoops or soccer?
During soccer season I want to play soccer. When it’s basketball season I want to play basketball. It’s going to come down to the best financial package and best school that fits me.
State title game. You’re in it. Which team would you most like to beat for the championship? Why?
Simeon. They’ve won three (Class 4A state titles) in a row. Beating them would be awesome.
You’re stranded on a deserted island. You could have an endless supply of one food. What would it be?
Steak burrito with sour cream.
What’s in your iPod?
Mostly rap, Hip-hop and R&B. Frank Ocean, Drake, Tory Lanez.
Given the chance, what person, dead or alive, would most like to meet? Why?
Drazen Petrovic (six-year career in NBA). I liked how much of a competitor he was. He’d have the ball and tell (Michael) Jordan to come up and try to defend him.
What’s the most important value you’ve learned from your parents?
In sports, it’s to have fun. If you’re not having fun with what you’re doing, you’re doing it for the wrong reason. In life, it’s to work hard at everything you do.
Your name, Glorind, is not common. Where does it come from?
My mom liked the song “Gloria” and my parents took off the “A” and put on the “N” and “D.” I don’t know any other person that has it.
You lived in Italy for four years growing up. What do you remember most about that experience?
I remember a lot, but mostly just how beautiful it was where we lived.
