Frankfort: Lincoln-Way East High School will hold a free coaching clinic, open to coaches and parents of youth baseball players, from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the school’s main gym.
Frankfort: The Frankfort Park District will offer a blast ball program, an introduction to baseball for kids ages 4 to 5 from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays from Feb. 14 to March 14 at Grand Prairie School. Fees: $59; $64 nonresident. Information: (815) 469-9400; www.frankfortparks.org.
Southland: The baseball program at South Suburban College in South Holland, and head coach Steve Ruzich, will host adult-child baseball camps from Feb. 15 to 24 for kids ages 6 to 14. Camps are available in pitching, hitting, advanced hitting, fielding and coaching. Kids will be given expert instruction to build skills while adults will be taught how to use effective teaching methods and provide instruction. Fee: $45 for one adult and one child per camp; $40 per camp if enrolled in more than one. Southland: The Hegewisch 30-and-over Baseball Draft League is looking for individual players for the 2013 season. Experience preferred but not essential. Most games are played on Saturdays. Information: Andy Klein, (773) 646-0706.
Orland Hills: The Orland Hills Wolves youth football cheerleading program will hold registration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Orland Hills Recreation Center, 16553 South Haven Avenue. Frankfort: The Frankfort Park District is offering youth golf lessons for kids ages 7 to 15 at White Mountain Golf Club, 9901 W. 179th St., Tinley Park. Two sessions will be offered. Session one meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays from Thursday to Feb. 28 and session two from 4 to 5 p.m. Fridays from Friday to March 1. Fees: $75 ($80 nonresident). Frankfort: Lincoln-Way East will host a poms dance clinic for kids in grades kindergarten through six from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 13. Participants will learn a dance routine and have an opportunity to perform it during halftime of Lincoln-Way East’s junior-varsity boys basketball game Feb. 15. Fee: $30 (includes T-shirt).
