Tinley Park police: No arrests for Irish parade

Although thousands of people packed downtown Tinley Park on Sunday for the 14th annual Irish Parade, many with beers and spirits in hand, there were no arrests, Tinley Park police Chief Steven Neubauer said Monday.

Stretching along both sides of the route from 181st Street to 172nd Street on Oak Park Avenue, onlookers watched the parade from behind barriers and from the outdoor patios of some of Tinley Park’s mainstay saloons, including Durbin’s, J.W. Hollstein’s, and Teehan’s.

Neubauer said there were a “handful of calls” concerning disorderly conduct, fighting and other public complaints, but none of them rose to the level where arrests needed to be made.
