BASEBALL

Southland: The Palos Park Recreation Department will offer T-Ball and coach pitch leagues Saturdays through May 18, with T-Ball open to ages 4 and 5 and coach pitch ages 6 to 8. BASKETBALL

Frankfort: The Frankfort Park District will host a high school boys basketball league Wednesday nights through May 8 at the Founders Community Center. Fee: $65 ($70 nonresident). Information: (815) 469-9400; www.frankfortparks.org.

Southland: The South Side Shooters Girls Basketball Club is holding tryouts for its spring session for all girls in grades four to 12. For more information and a schedule of tryouts, contact Director Gary Ferguson, (630) 935-1150 or email ssshootersbball@aol.com; www.shootersbball.com.

Southland: St. Xavier University and women’s basketball coach Bob Hallberg will host a girls basketball camp, open to girls ages 7 to 15, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. June 10 to 14 at the Shannon Center on St. Xavier’s Chicago campus. Participants will be grouped by age and ability level and taught each day by Hallberg as well as SXU assistants and players. Fee: $135 (includes T-Shirt). Southland: St. Xavier Unviersity and men’s basketball coach Tom O’Malley will host a boys basketball camp, open to boys ages 9 to 15. Two sessions of the camp will be held at the Shannon Center on St. Xavier’s Chicago campus, with the first session running from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 10 to 13 and the second session from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 17 to 20. Fees: $95 for one session, $160 for both sessions (includes T-Shirt, SXU basketball and special awards). Southland: Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills and girls basketball coach John Maniatis will host a camp for girls in grades six to 12 from 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays from June 10 to July 11. FOOTBALL

Southland: The football program at Shepard High School in Palos Heights will host its fifth annual youth camp, open to kids in grades one to eight, from 2 to 4 p.m. May 5. Registration begins at 1:45 p.m. Shepard coach Dominic Passolano, assistant coaches and varsity players will lead the camp. No pads will be worn and no experience is necessary. Players should bring cleats and gym shoes. Fee: $10 (includes T-Shirt and food).

SOFTBALL

Southland: The NWI White Sox 2001 fastpitch travel team is looking for an “A” player. Must have a 2001 or later birthday. Information: Coach Wright, (219) 775-6775 or email coachwright86@att.net.

TRACK AND FIELD

Southland: 2012 U.S. Olympic coach Tom Pukstys will direct the AO Track Club for the summer of 2013. The club for sprinters and throwers will meet from June 3 to July 26 at Marist High School in Chicago. Sprinters will train from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and throwers will train from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fees: $330 for 16 sessions.
