At a special School District 146 Board of Education meeting, incumbent board members Jack Carey, Amy Connolly, Julie Jackson and Denis Ryan were sworn into office for a new four-year term.
The board also reorganized, electing John Malloy as board president, Jackson as vice president, and Dean Casper as board secretary. Each will serve a two-year term.
Board committee assignments are Connolly, chair, and Casper for the Finance Committee; Donna Framke, chair, and Jackson for the Curriculum Committee, and Ryan, chair and Carey for the newly formed Community Relations Committee.
“This board has served the community well for years, and has many accomplishments of which to be proud. There is more to be done. I look forward to working with them as we push our district forward as a leader in education,” Dr. Jeff Stawick, District 146 superintendent, said.
