EMPLOYEE THEFT: Nanjala Shaw-McCain, 22, 2760 Chayes Court, Homewood, was charged with retail theft after she stole from TJ Maxx, 16025 Harlem Ave., as an employee on four occasions between Sept. 27 and 29, police said.
GAS THEFT: A man and woman stole about $1,600 worth of gasoline Sept. 29 from the Speedway gas station, 7201 W. 183rd St. The manager discovered 400 missing gallons the following day when employees found a damaged pin inside a diesel pump. A review of a security camera showed a man and woman spending about an hour at the pump, repositioning their white van multiple times as they pumped gas.
PILFERED PHONE: An Andrew High School student told police someone stole his cellphone from his backpack Oct. 7 in the gym locker room at the school, 9001 171st St.
THEFT: About $1,000 worth of beauty supplies were stolen Oct. 11 from an employee of Lisa Thomas Salon, 15930 84th Ave. Another employee confronted the alleged thief in the parking lot, but the woman drove off.
THEFT: A wallet was stolen Oct. 11 from the locker room at LA Fitness, 18400 Convention Center Drive.
BIKE THEFTS: A bicycle was stolen Oct. 11 from a rack at the Oak Park Avenue Metra station, 6682 W. South St. A bike also was stolen that same day from the 80th Avenue station.
RING STOLEN: A diamond ring was stolen Oct. 11 from a home in the 17200 block of Valley Drive.
VAN THEFT: A Ford van was stolen Oct. 12 or 13 in the 17600 block of 71st Court.
BURGLARY: A wallet, iPhone and checkbook were stolen Oct. 13 from a truck that was left running when the driver went inside a gas station in the 7200 block of 183rd Street.
