CAR BURGLARY: A laptop computer, GPS unit, iPhone and two books were stolen Oct. 15 from a car in the 7500 block of 165th Street.
POT POSSESSION: Richard James, 34, 8513 Cherry Creek Ave., Tinley Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug equipment after he was spotted illegally parked in a handicapped-parking space Oct. 17 outside 1st Stop Tobacco, 8021 183rd St., police said.
MARIJUANA CHARGES: Donato Gentile Jr., 30, 17501 Ridgeland Ave., Apt. 1N, Tinley Park, was charged with sale and possession of marijuana after being questioned by police Oct. 17 in the parking lot of a sandwich shop in the 7300 block of 183rd Street, police said. They said Justin Slone, 29, of West Willard, Utah, was charged with possession of marijuana.
DUI ARREST: Karen Kozicki, 33, 17219 Oconto Ave., Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving, driving in the wrong line and running a red light after police arrested her Oct. 18 in her driveway, police said.
TOOLS TAKEN: A large amount of tools was stolen Oct. 18 from a work van in the 7300 block of 171st Street.
THEFT: A Tinley Park man told police someone stole his wallet Oct. 18 from a locked locker at LA Fitness, 18400 Convention Center Drive.
WARRANT ARREST: Jerome Gillette, 34, 7831 Bristol Park Drive, Tinley Park, was arrested Oct. 19 on a Lake County, Ind., warrant for auto theft after he was pulled over for speeding on Veterans Parkway, police said.
CAR BURGLARY: A cellphone was stolen Oct. 19 from a delivery man who brought a pizza to the Fairfield Inn, 18511 North Creek Drive.
STOLEN RING: A 33-year-old Tinley Park man told police he lost his fiancee’s engagement ring while shopping Oct. 19 at Jewel-Osco, 17177 Harlem Ave. A cashier told police she saw a woman in her 50s pick up a ring and leave the store.
RETAIL THEFT: Jeffrey Ghere, 39, of Bourbonnais, was charged with retail theft and resisting police after stealing two pairs of shoes Oct. 20 from Kohl’s, 7500 191st St., and trying to flee police in the store parking lot, police said.
