After another brief warm-up on Monday, arctic cold will descend on the Chicago area on Tuesday, with temperatures dipping to a low of about 8 above Tuesday night.
The National Weather Service said we’re also in for some snow on Tuesday, starting before noon but only amounting to about an inch of accumulation in the Southland.
Tuesday’s high is expected to be in the low 30s, and highs will only reach the low to mid 20s through Friday, with some snow showers, according to the weather service.
But don’t despair — there’s a warm-up coming this weekend. Saturday’s high will be in the mid to upper 30s, and it will reach the low 40s on Sunday.
