A Crestwood woman was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she was prevented from buying alcohol Jan. 14 at an Oak Lawn liquor store, police said.
Terica Gordon, 28, 4924 Circle Court, became angry and punched a store security guard at Kenwood Liquors, 10750 Cicero Ave., about 11 p.m., shortly after a clerk refused to sell her alcohol because neither she nor a friend could present proper identification, according to police.
They said Gordon and her friend Rosia C. Mitchell, 27, of Ford Heights, then left the store, but Gordon returned minutes later and tried to buy a bottle of champagne.
When she again was refused, Gordon threw the bottle to the ground and knocked over several displays on the counter, police said. Mitchell threatened the security guard and store manager and was charged with assault.
