Richton Park has a new fire chief.
Rodney Wilson, who has been with the department for nearly 21 years, was named chief by the village board last week. He replaces Lloyd Noles, who retired.
“I am honored the village board had (the) confidence in me to appoint me as chief,” Wilson said.
A career highlight for Wilson came in 1999 when he rescued a woman and her daughter from a fire. He also collected a Safety Recognition Award for 2010-11 from Richton Park VFW Post No. 311.
Paul Hodges was named deputy fire chief, and Dave Burczak chief fire engineer.
