Crete man killed when bus he’s repairing rolls over him

A Crete man was killed Thursday afternoon when a bus he was repairing slipped off the jack and rolled over him in unincorporated Lynwood.

Edward J. Randall, 47, of the 25100 block of South Sangamon Street in Crete, was under the bus in the 1800 block of Glenwood Dyer Road in unincorporated Lynwood, when it slipped off the jack and rolled over him, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:13 p.m.

A Cook County Sheriff’s spokesman could not be reached for comment early Friday.
