A tipped-over semi truck at the intersection of 95th Street and Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn impeded traffic for several hours Monday, police said.

A semi truck carrying steel rings in the trailer tipped over about 10 a.m. Monday, snarling traffic on eastbound 95th Street, police said. It wasn’t completely cleared up until after the evening rush hour.

The 18-wheeler was turning left from southbound Cicero onto 95th Street when it tipped and hit a lightpole. It’s possible the truck’s load shifted, causing the truck to tip, police said.

No one was hurt, police said, and the truck was not hauling any hazardous materials.

For much of the day, only one lane on eastbound 95th Street was open, police said.
