So much for second chances.
A Lyons woman on Wednesday was charged with retail theft for stealing a bottle of vodka from a Palos Hills store — one hour after the store owner declined to press charges against her for allegedly stealing a bottle of the same brand of vodka, police said.
Police first were called to Lassak Deli, 8017 W. 103rd St., about 3:30 p.m. when employees reported a woman took a 750-milliliter bottle of Skol Vodka without paying, police said in a news release.
They found a woman matching her description — Jaclyn Culver, 34, of Lyons — in a nearby park drinking the vodka, but the owner of the deli declined to sign a complaint, the release said.
But Culver’s luck didn’t last long. Police were called back to the deli at 4:50 p.m. and learned Culver came back in and put another bottle of Skol Vodka in her coat and left without paying, police said.
Culver is scheduled to appear in court July 5 in Bridgeview.
