Calumet City man dies in motorcycle accident

A man was killed Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident in Calumet City.
Tyrean Owens, 34, of the 600 block of Gordon Avenue in Calumet City, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 10:46 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The preliminary cause of death for Owens was a motorcycle striking an automobile, the medical examiner’s office said.
A Monday autopsy found he died of multiple injuries from the collision and ruled his death an accident.
Officials with the Calumet City Police Department did not immediately return calls for comment.
