Tavern dispute leads to arrest

A Markham man was charged with battery May 25 after he punched another man outside a Tinley Park tavern, police said.
Andrew J. Durham, 22, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. after he hit the man in the face outside of JW Hollstein’s Saloon, 17358 Oak Park Ave., according to police.
Witnesses told police the fight ensued after the victim became angry over racial slurs that Durham was making about some of the bar’s patrons.
