Alcohol, prescription drugs cited in motorcyclist’s death

MORRIS — Alcohol and prescription drugs were contributing factors in a May 27 motorcycle crash that killed a founder of a memorial wall, Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan ruled.
Anthony R. Cutrano, 56, of Palos Heights, lost control of his motorcycle on Route 6 near Seneca. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Callahan.
The coroner reported Thursday that Cutrano’s blood alcohol level was a .234 and he was also taking a prescription drug, Diazepam (a muscle relaxant).
Operating a motor vehicle under these conditions is extremely risky, Callahan reported.
Cutrano helped attract thousands of participants each year to veterans memorial events during the last decade.
He helped found the Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run, the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles and the Ryan Beaupre memorial in Kankakee County.
