An Amber Alert has been issued for a girl abducted in Chicago on June 12.
Tillie L. Armour, 1, was taken in the 7100 block of South Ellis Avenue at about 3 p.m. on June 12, according to the alert requested by Markham police. She is described as 2-feet-2, 26 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink and orange shirt, orange shorts, white Jordan gym shoes and pink and white barrettes in her hair.
The girl’s father, Cleophus Cooks, 46, is the suspected kidnapper, according a statement from Markham police.
He is described as a 5-feet-6 man with gray hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a gray Dickies brand work shirt, blue Dickies brand work pants and black boots. He walks with a limp, and has a scar on his back, officials said. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
He was allowed a visitation at 3 p.m. June 12 and was supposed to return the girl at 6 p.m. the same day, according to Markham police.
The girl’s mother obtained a court order for immediate return of the child and when she called Cooks Monday night to tell him of the order he allegedly said “F--- a court order,” and hung up, the statement said.
Cooks drives a gold 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, according to the alert.
Anyone with information about Armour’s whereabouts should call 9-1-1.
