Two bones found by a Palos Park woman in her garage were not human, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said Wednesday.
The bones — “one pretty big and one smaller” — were found Monday by the woman when she cleaned out the garage in the 12500 block of South 90th Avenue, Palos Park Police Chief Joe Miller said.
The woman’s frame garage, a barn-like structure, is 80 years old, Miller said.
“It was built when her father built the house in 1932,” said Miller, adding that the bones could have been there even before the garage was constructed.
