Beginning Aug. 6, Cicero Avenue in Alsip will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the bridge over the CSX Railroad because of construction. The bridge is just south of 115th Street.
Vixen Construction, Inc., of Bridgeview, is working on the $208,000 project.
Cicero Avenue already is down to one lane in each direction over the Cal-Sag Channel just south of 127th Street for a bridge rehabilitation and painting project. The tentative completion date for that project is Aug. 31.
There also are ongoing temporary and intermittent lane closures on Cicero Avenue between 95th Street and 127th Street and between 147th Street and 175th Street for a resurfacing project tentatively scheduled for completion on Sept. 7.
