The long-awaited murder trial of Drew Peterson began Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in a Will County Courtroom in Joliet.
Peterson, a former Bolingbrook police sargeant, is charged with the murder of his third wife. Kathleen Savio, in 2004. Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy, has been missing for nearly five years.
