An Orland Park man has been indicted on 14 counts of aggravated DUI and one count of reckless homicide in connection with a July crash that killed a 51-year-old Lockport woman, prosecutors said.
Matthew Senica, 25, of 13711 S. 88th Ave., had traces of marijuana, cocaine, opiates and alcohol in his system when his truck slammed into a sport utility vehicle driven by Heidi Roseen at LaGrange Road and 95th Street at 6:15 a.m. July 8, prosecutors said. Roseen, a nurse at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, was on her way to work when the crash occurred.
Senica was indicted Tuesday at the Bridgeview courthouse, where he is to appear Aug. 16 for his arraignment, Cook County state’s attorney spokesman Andy Conklin said Wednesday.
Senica, who has a 2009 conviction for drunken driving, remains in custody on $1 million bail.
Prosecutors have said Senica’s 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck ran a red light and hit a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Roseen, who had the green light and was driving eastbound on 95th Street.
