Vermont Street due for resurfacing

Vermont Street from Western Avenue in Blue Island to 127th Street in Chicago will undergo patching and resurfacing, starting Wednesday.
The project will require daytime lane closures, and 127th Street is a recommended alternative route. There will be no mandatory detours for the work, which is scheduled to be completed Oct. 19.
D Construction, of Coal City, is the lead contractor on the $896,890 project.
