Death of Hickory Hills man struck by vehicle ruled accident

HICKORY HILLS -- An autopsy Tuesday ruled the death of a Hickory Hills man struck by a vehicle in southwest suburban Bridgeview was an accident.

Charles Michel, 66, was hit by the car in the 7300 block of West 100th Place in Bridgeview on Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Michel, of the 8600 block of South 82nd Court in Hickory Hills, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 7:20 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Tuesday listed the primary cause of death as multiple injuries caused by a vehicle striking a pedestrian, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled an accident.

Bridgeview police are investigating.
