A Hickory Hills man was hospitalized with internal bleeding, fractured ribs and a ruptured spleen Aug. 18 after he was attacked during a concert at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, police said.
The 28-year-old man told police he was attacked by three men he didn’t know near the north concourse ramp as he returned to his lawn seat.
He said he initially was tackled by a man who appeared intoxicated. He wrestled with the man and eventually got on top of him, police said. At that point, two other men knocked the victim down and began to kick him, according to reports. He covered his head as he repeatedly was kicked in the torso, police said.
A friend of the victim saw the attack and got into a fistfight with one of the attackers until the three men fled, police said.
The victim lost two liters of blood and had his spleen removed a few days later, police said.
