A town hall meeting will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday to discuss the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority’s interchange project that will link Interstate 294 with I-57.

The meeting will be held at Raday Lodge, 3220 W. 145th St. in Midlothian.

Work is under way on the project that will link the two major interstates for the first time.

Topics for discussion will include projected economic development, improved local transportation, and updates on the construction.

The project is expected to cost $719 million and is part of the tollway authority’s $12 billion capital improvement plan.
