A $6,000 reward has been offered for information about a burglary at a Chicago police stable that left two horses injured last week on the Southeast Side.
The burglary occurred about midnight Sept. 17 at the stables on the grounds of the South Shore Cultural Center in the 7000 block of South Shore Drive, police News Affairs said.
One horse suffered a minor injury on one of its legs and another suffered a chemical burn on his nose from a fire extinguisher, police said.
No one was in custody as of Wednesday, when the police chaplain’s ministry and the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation contributed toward a $6,000 reward.
Anyone with information about the break-in and vandalism is asked to call police at (312) 747-8382.
