Vana, a passenger, was thrown from the vehicle.
He was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox where he was pronounced dead.
Will County police were called at 8:38 p.m. to Lauffer and Haas roads. When they arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy from Lockport yelling for help.
Police said the initial investigation suggests the truck attempted to turn south onto Haas Road and lost control.
The driver was also transported to Silver Cross with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver told police a deer came out of the field and he lost control when he swerved to avoid it.
