The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning from midnight to 8 a.m. Saturday, meaning temperatures could hit the low 30s.
The weather service said some areas could even see temperatures fall into the high 20s in some areas.
The warning was issued for counties including Cook, McHenry, Lake and DuPage.
“Temperatures overnight will to or below freezing across much of the area outside the city of Chicago,” the warning said.
