Man fatally struck by vehicle in Harvey identified

A man who was fatally struck by a vehicle Monday in Harvey has been identified.
Larry Nelson, 29, was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of East 147th Street and South Ashland Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was pronounced dead at 12:38 a.m. at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, the medical examiner’s office said. His home address was not immediately known.
An autopsy Monday was inconclusive pending further investigation.
Harvey police have not returned messages seeking comment.
