A seminar for Worth Township residents on how to appeal their 2012 property tax assessments is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at the township office, 11601 S. Pulaski Road in Alsip.
The free hourlong session will include a presentation by Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak on how property taxes are calculated and the appeal procedure. Taxpayers can ask Board of Review staff questions specific to their concerns.
There is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill.
Appeal forms also may be picked up at the Board of Review, 118 N. Clark St., Room 601, in Chicago; or at the Bridgeview courthouse, 10220 S. 76th Ave.
