Orland Park man charged in crash that killed Tinley Park woman

An Orland Park man has been charged with reckless homicide and aggravated drunken driving for a fatal accident in Tinley Park early Sunday morning, the Cook County state’s attorney’s office said.
Kevin Santiago, 33, of the 8800 block of 170th Street, appeared in court Tuesday where Judge Peter Felice set his bail at $350,000. His next court date is Dec. 28.
He was also charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a traffic signal and no insurance, Tinley Park police said.
A vehicle driven by Lubna Firdausi, 50, of Tinley Park, was struck by Santiago’s vehicle at 2 a.m. near 183rd and 80th Avenue, Tinley Park police said.
Firdausi was taken to Christ Medical Center where she died at 8:03 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Santiago was also taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released into police custody.
