A Lockport drugstore reopened Tuesday afternoon after being closed most of the day following a raid by federal agents.
Local police were told at 7 a.m. that the FBI and other federal authorities were raiding Corwin Pharmacy, 944 E. 9th St.
FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde confirmed agents had closed the business as part of “ an ongoing criminal investigation,” but would not comment further.
Throughout the morning people approached the locked doors to ask about picking up prescriptions and were told the business would reopen in the afternoon. The pharmacy reopened around 4 p.m. but employees did not comment on the shutdown.
