A Chicago Ridge man wanted for stabbing his two brothers-in-law during a fight outside Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn is in police custody after being tracked down in Dearborn, Mich.
Kamal Yasin, 32, is facing charges of aggravated battery for the stabbings, which occurred Saturday night in the parking lot just east of the hospital’s emergency department at 94th and Kilbourn Avenue, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call of a fight in the parking lot at 11:36 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived they followed a bloody trail to the emergency room, where they learned two brothers were being treated for knife wounds, police said.
One man, 30, of Burbank, suffered stab wounds in his head and torso. The second man, 20, from Chicago, was stabbed in his face and back.
On Sunday, Oak Lawn detectives learned that Yasin was in the Dearborn area. With help from police there, Yasin’s Mercedes was located at an apartment building parking lot. Police found Yasin at 8:12 p.m. Sunday outside the apartment building where he parked his car, police said.
He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, and was to appear in front of a Michigan judge for an extradition hearing on Tuesday.
