PALOS HILLS -- The second bank robber who escaped from the downtown Chicago federal jail lockup last month was arrested Friday.
Authorities arrested Kenneth Conley, who escaped from the Metropolitan Correctional Center with his cellmate, Joseph Jose Banks, by scaling 17 floors down the side of the jail on a rope made of bedsheets and other material, according to the FBI.
Banks was arrested Dec. 20 on the Northwest Side. The FBI has confirmed that Conley was captured about 4 p.m. Friday by Palos Hills police.
