Court Appointed Special Advocates of Will County (CASA) will host its Benefit Auction Gala from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Patrick C. Haley Mansion, 17 S. Center St., Joliet.
CASA is a nonprofit that provides trained volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the county’s juvenile court system.
Tickets for the event are $125 and are available by visiting www.biddingforgood.com/casaofwillcounty.
The special guest for the evening is Jarrett Payton, the son of Bears legend Walter Payton. The event includes a cocktail reception, dinner, raffles, auction, entertainment and dancing with the Del Bergeson Orchestra.
Since 1993, CASA of Will County has served more than 2,000 abused and neglected children and helped place them in safe, secure and loving permanent homes, according to the organization. It currently advocates for 262 children, which represents only 50 percent of the children in the Will County juvenile court system.
CASA’s financial goal this year is to raise at least $60,000 to support its programs.
