Orland Park man charged in home invasion

Bail was set at $200,000 Wednesday for an Orland Park man charged with forcing his way into the home of a woman in unincorporated Palos Township and hitting her several times in the face.
Ralph Grajek, 46, of the 7600 block of Wheeler Drive, was charged with felony home invasion in the Feb. 17 incident, according to Cook County sheriff’s police. His next court date is April 1 at the county courthouse in Bridgeview.
Sheriff’s police said they received a call about 12:45 a.m. from the woman, saying Grajek had forced his way into her home, struck her in the face several times and ripped the phone line from the wall when she tried to dial 911.
Grajek fled in a truck, and sheriff’s police arrested him Monday in Chicago Ridge.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s police described the attack as a “domestic incident.”
