The Stanley Cup is coming to Crestwood.
Longtime Blackhawks trainer and Crestwood resident Mike Gapski is bringing the Stanley Cup to the village on Wednesday.
The Cup will be at Incarnation Parish, 5757 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, for a photo opportunity from 9 to 10:30 a.m., then will be paraded from the church to Caesar Park, 4454 W. 142nd St, Crestwood, where there will be another photo opportunity from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Photos with the Cup are $5 for individuals, and $10 for family shots, with all proceeds going to local charities and Crestwood amateur sports teams.
Gapski is in his 26th year with the Blackhawks, who won the Cup in June for the second time in four seasons.
Crestwood Mayor Lou Presta said in a prepared statement: “We are so proud of Mike and his achievements with the team. We can’t wait to get the town together to celebrate the Stanley Cup win.”
