One of the nation’s largest auto dealer groups on Monday announced it had acquired BMW of Orland Park and said it plans to continue to grow the dealership and hire more staff as it does.
The dealership, at 11030 W. 159th St., Orland Park, now will be known as Zeigler BMW of Orland Park, according to a news release from Zeigler Automotive Group.
The dealership offers more than 300 new vehicles and more than 80 pre-owned vehicles and recently was named the 2013 Dealer of the Year by DealerRater, according to the release.
“We are excited to add such a successful dealership to our Chicago locations and to our brand,” Zeigler Automotive Group president Aaron Zeigler said. “BMW dealerships are rarely on the market and we’re proud to now own the dealership.”
The dealership features a new state-of-the-art facility on just over nine acres, the release said.
Zeigler Automotive Group was looking for a BMW dealership in the Chicago area and learned last year that the Orland Park dealership might be available, the release said. The sale was finalized earlier this summer.
A grand opening will be scheduled later this summer, the release said.
BMW of Orland Park moved into the location just over a year ago, holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony in May 2012. The dealer had moved from 8470 W. 159th St. because the new site was nearly three times larger.
