WILL COUNTY — A New Lenox man taught a 12-year-old boy about sex by having him watch while he had sex with his girlfriend in a motel room last year, police said.
Douglas E. Gordon, 38, of 1101 S. Spencer Road, was arrested Thursday on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and is being held in the county jail on a $50,000 bond.
Will County Sheriff’s Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas said Gordon’s arrest spun off from an ongoing investigation by the Will County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
“After some search warrants were executed, the boy was interviewed by the Child Advocacy Center,” Kaupas said.
On Nov. 30, Gordon brought his 30-year-old girlfriend and the boy to a Channahon motel where they engaged in sex acts.
According to court records, Gordon and the woman had oral sex and intercourse.
“They engaged in sex acts while having inappropriate contact with the victim,” Kaupas said.
“The boy said Gordon’s plan was to sexually educate him.”
Gordon’s girlfriend was questioned by investigators, but is not currently facing charges, according to reports.
Gordon, a truck driver, was arrested in New Lenox in October 2001 on a charge of driving with a suspended license. He is not allowed contact with any minors, including the victim, if he is able to post bond, according to court records.
