A Matteson man faces a murder charge now that a former lover whom he allegedly shot on May 15 has died.
David Twine, 32, shot Kyle Arrington while Arrington was at his building in the 9900 block of South Walden Parkway in Chicago, Cook County prosecutors said. They said the two men had previously had a sexual relationship.
When Arrington’s girlfriend arrived, she found him bleeding on the ground, but he was able to identify Twine as his attacker, Assistant State’s Attorney Amanda Pillsbury said.
Arrington told his girlfriend and police that Twine used a gun that belonged to his girlfriend’s dead mother, and Twine fled in a rental car, Pillsbury said.
Twine, who was arrested in Arkansas, was originally charged with robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Pillsubry said investigators also found bomb-making manuals in Twine’s home.
A judge has set his bail at $900,000.
