A man broke into a car in Joliet and used stolen credit cards in Mokena before being stopped in Bolingbrook on Tuesday, police said.
At 3:30 a.m. Bolingbrook police were called to the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive after residents noticed suspicious activity, according to Lt. Mike Rompa.
Tommaso J. Incesti, 24, had keys and credit cards that belong to a woman who lives on that block, Rompa said.
“She’d been in Joliet earlier in the evening when her vehicle was burglarized,” Rompa said. The victim reported the break-in to police who learned her cards had already been used to buy fuel and cigarettes.
Rompa said Incesti was also carrying pry tools, a paintball gun and a ski mask when he was taken into custody.
Incesti, of 17308 92nd Ave. in Tinley Park, was booked into the county jail on charges of residential burglary, possession of burglary tools and theft. He is being held on $30,000 bond.
