A 23-year-old Chicago man was injured Thursday morning when he drove his car into a medical building in Oak Lawn, police said.
The man, who was taken to Christ Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said. No one else was hurt.
The man was driving a 1997 Saturn when it hit a curb and a light pole before crashing into the building in the 4400 block of West 95th Street about 8:45 a.m., according to Oak Lawn police. The car’s front half went through the building’s east wall, police said.
The man was unable to explain how he lost control of the vehicle, police said.
