JOLIET — Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a Calumet City man who has been missing since Thursday.
Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton said no one has seen Henry Chunn, 69, since shortly after he wandered away from Harrah’s Casino.
“Around 9 a.m. his wife went to get breakfast but when she returned to the hotel room, he was gone,” Benton said.
Chunn’s wife told investigators it’s not unusual for her husband to take walks that last hours, but he has never been gone for so long, Benton said.
Video surveillance shows around noon Chunn crossed over the Cass Street Bridge and headed west on foot.
Chunn is a black man with gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot 10-inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, dark jeans, blue and gray sneakers and a black ball cap with “Navy” written on the front.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 815-724-3100.
