JOLIET — Police on Thursday still were asking for the public’s help in finding a Calumet City man who has been missing for a week.
Joliet Police Lt. Brian Dupuis said Thursday morning that no one had seen Henry Chunn, 69, since shortly after he wandered away from Harrah’s Casino on Oct. 17.
“He had about $20 with him and no cellphone. We have not gotten any reports of someone who’s seen him since (video) showed him walk over the Cass Street bridge around noon that day,” Dupuis said.
Chunn and his wife were staying at the hotel and she returned from having breakfast about 9 a.m. to find him gone. She told investigators it’s not unusual for her husband to take walks that last hours, but she grew concerned when he didn’t come back, police said.
Chunn is black, with gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-10, weighs 165 pounds and last was seen wearing a black hooded jacket, dark jeans, blue and gray sneakers and a black ball cap with “Navy” written on the front.
