Black Friday may be over, but bargain hunters can find some good deals in New Lenox. About 50 businesses will offer discounts during the village’s “Celebrate and Shop New Lenox” this weekend starting Thursday.
Now that the construction along Route 30 is complete, the village organized this event to help local businesses, according to Nancy Hoehn, development director.
Mayor Tim Baldermann will kick off Lincoln Highway’s reopening with a ribbon cutting Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Atrium on Schoolhouse Road and Route 30. Other events Thursday include Ladies Night Out at Presence Women’s Center.
On Friday, Elizabeth Jade Salon will offer complimentary 10-minute conditioning treatments and eye makeup applications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. TCBY and Tear Drop Cafe each will have their grand openings. David Anthony Jewelers will have the bridal and remount show, giving away a gemstone ring.
On Saturday, the Bluestone Commons will have an open house throughout the entire plaza, featuring Santa, touch a truck, prizes and more. Lincolnway Community Bank will have photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to noon.
