A one-car crash in Palos Heights temporarily left hundreds of customers without power Wednesday afternoon, ComEd said.
A vehicle went off the road at Ridgeland Avenue and West 126th Place and struck a pole that helps feed electricity to the area, according to Palos Heights police.
The driver was injured and was taken to a local hospital, police said. Details on the person’s condition were not immediately available.
About 800 ComEd customers lost electricity after the crash at 12:30 p.m., but most had their power restored by about 2 p.m., according to a ComEd spokesman.
Police are investigating.
